Effortlessly elegant and dry at first, showing a woody-floral blend with dark shades and spicy hints at first. It progressively unveil its beautifully intricate texture: sweet, velvety, slightly metallic flowers on warm, balmy but also dry and really austere woods: two main “axes” each comprising several facets that you get throughout the evolution. Flowers range to the obscurity of rose and jasmine, to whiter shades of lily and cyclamen; the same for woods, which comprise nuances ranging from sandalwood (“juicy”, sweet, bright and cozy) to drier, shadier notes of rosewood and cedar, with some added weight thanks to cloves, leather, and nutmeg. A touch of amber and vanilla provide some sweet and warm “roundness”. Overall Ducalis may appeal fans of oud scents as well, but with a western versión of it.

The Duchi d’Acquaviva –the Acquaviva Dukes– were one of the seven most important lineages of the Reign of Naples and settled one of their capitals in Atri at the end of the XII century, bringing splendor and prosperity to the town. Ducalis tells about the charming Duke making his majestic entrance to take part to the elegant banquet.

"At the end of the 12th century, the Dukes of Acquaviva, one of the seven most prominent lineages of the Kingdom of Naples, resided in the ancient Duchy of Atri. Elegant and cultured men, adorned in lavish attire.

This fragrance embodies the duality of strength and an aura of power contrasted with the sweetness of culture and prosperity.

Ducalis draws inspiration from a sophisticated banquet. Everyone eagerly awaits the Duke’s arrival, standing in anticipation as his long cape brushes each step behind him.

A dark and elegant aroma subtly fills the grand hall. A woody and floral caress with spicy hints gradually gives way to a briny texture that envelops from the Adriatic Sea. Ducalis is a tribute to nobility, whose position inspires and promotes culture and generosity".

This architectural masterpiece holds deep significance as the city where the brand was originally established, reflecting a perfect harmony between art, heritage, and the spirit of perfumery.

Each and every single of our perfumes is a unique numbered piece featuring a certificate which states its belonging to a specific production batch, date and bottle number. All boxes and bottles are hand-packed individually, to guarantee their genuine artisanal excellence.

The artisan manufacturing doesn’t stop with creation of the perfumes; all components of the final product are handmade: caps are machined and finished manually, labels are applied individually, boxes are created, lined and decorated one by one.
